Music, sky, and camera are mostly Advanced Tools and global properties. A few of them changed in 2025 and 2026 even if you already owned the pass.
Play music
- A music setting on the obby plays for the whole plot. From 9 October 2026 you can set that music to nothing and the game plays the default track. The new default named in the log is Argon by Maxybg. You no longer have to reset every property to clear a bad ID.
- A volume icon in the top bar mutes music, including outside edit mode.
- Music zones have been free to place since 17 November 2024. Use a zone when only part of the course should change the track. Music-part volume was last raised to 1.5 on 25 June 2024.
- The Sound Search plugin, added 9 October 2026, searches music and sound effects without leaving the experience. Copying SoundIds on mobile was fixed the next day.
If a track is silent, check the ID, the volume icon, and whether a music zone is overriding the global track. The update log does not list a separate audio copyright error string.
Sky and time
Time of day is an Advanced Tools lighting control. 0 reads as night and the daytime values sit higher on the same control; the developer described the visual sun picker as the way to place the sun by clicking the sky.
On 21 November 2025 three sky properties were added: SunSize, MoonSize, and SkyRotation. SkyRotation was not available on Advanced Tools parts then. Placing the sun with the 9 October 2026 picker can change programmed sun movement. Use the refresh button beside the sun icon to reset that, then rebuild the motion.
Particle flipbook mode was added the same November day. The developer said to turn Simple Properties off or those fields stay hidden.
Camera
Global camera min zoom goes up to 60 (was 40). Camera max zoom goes as low as 0 (was 20). Below 1, the view is forced first person. On PC the mouse stays free so a tight camera cannot trap you. Lock Mouse in First Person is a separate opt-in and can trap you. Leave it off unless you have tested the course with it on.
The developer removed a custom camera on 9 October 2026 because it hurt mobile sensitivity, and rebuilt the mobile mouse-lock button. If mobile look feels different from a 2025 tutorial, that camera change is why.
A practical lighting pass
- Trial or own Advanced Tools.
- Set time and, if you need a specific sun, use the sun picker knowing it rewrites old motion.
- Set music or clear it to the default, then set a music zone only where the track should change.
- Add flipbook particles with Simple Properties off.
- Set camera zoom last, and playtest first person on both PC and mobile before you lock the mouse.
