Advanced Tools is the pass that unlocks the deeper global properties: lighting, sky, music, gravity, jump limit, and parts such as the Quiz Part. You open those controls under properties, in global properties. The pass used to live in Settings; it was moved so it can be edited while you are in the obby.
The 15-minute trial
On 9 October 2026 the developer added a free trial. Watch a video ad and use Advanced Tools for 15 minutes. The trial can be repeated. The developer explained the same change in the video "a big change".
This is not a permanent unlock. When the 15 minutes end, the pass features stop until you watch another ad or you own the pass. Choosing an Advanced Tools part in the Add screen without owning the pass prompts a purchase. The trial is the path that avoids that prompt for a short session.
The last price the developer published for the pass itself was 399 Robux on 21 December 2024 (down from 420). The October 2026 log does not restate the price. The shop also applies discounts such as Roblox Plus. Read the button in the shop before you buy.
What the pass is known to include
Documented across the update log, not as a complete shop list:
- Floor, lighting, and time of day controls, plus music for the whole obby.
- Jump Limit, added 21 August 2024: up to 10 jumps before the player must touch the ground.
- Gravity. From 9 October 2026 the range is 0 to 400 (previously 5 to 200). Lower gravity makes jumps floatier.
- Sky controls added 21 November 2025: SunSize, MoonSize, and SkyRotation. SkyRotation was not available inside Advanced Tools parts at that time.
- A visual sun placement tool added 9 October 2026. Open Advanced Tools, then Lighting, then Time, and click the sun icon. Click the sky to place the sun.
- Quiz Part, added 21 December 2024. It disappears, like a timed part, when a player says the command word.
The sun tool rewrites old motion
The developer warned that placing the sun visually changes settings behind the scenes. Sun movement you had programmed with Advanced Tools parts will not match until you rebuild those parts. A refresh button next to the sun icon resets the setup and is the documented way to restore older programmed movement.
Quiz parts and who they listen to
On 9 October 2026, Quiz Parts gained Activate for Others, on by default. Turn it off when only the player who says the word should complete the quiz.
Global ranges raised the same day
| Global property | Before 9 October 2026 | After |
|---|---|---|
| Gravity | 5 to 200 | 0 to 400 |
| Jump power | up to 200 | up to 400 |
| Max health | up to 1,000 | up to 10,000 |
| Camera min zoom | up to 40 | up to 60 |
| Camera max zoom | as low as 20 | as low as 0 |
Max health is reapplied correctly on respawn after a fix in that update. Camera max zoom below 1 forces first person. On PC the mouse stays unlocked in that state so you are not trapped. A separate setting, Lock Mouse in First Person, defaults to off. Turning it on can leave you stuck inside a course. The developer said so in the same note.
Avatar transparency was added under Global Properties, Avatar, on 9 October 2026. Colors accept a single number: 0 means 0, 0, 0.
Who should buy it
Buy or trial Advanced Tools when the course needs lighting, music, gravity, extra jumps, or a quiz. A pure platform course made of basic parts does not need the pass. Use the 15-minute trial to test a lighting idea before you spend Robux.
