Obby Creator has two account currencies you will see while building: Cash, spent as you place parts, and Gems, used for at least one slot purchase and for daily rewards. The developer is also tracking average Cash and Gems across players to retune prices. Treat any rate you remember as temporary.
What is safe to say about Cash
- Cash is the building currency. The price of a part is shown when you edit.
- From 9 October 2026 the Cash panel is visible only in edit mode, so you will not see it while running a course.
- On 19 January 2026 the developer wrote that respawn time, cash rate, and similar values were under experiment. This guide does not repeat an older per-minute payout or a per-stud price, because those figures were not restated after that note.
- Double Cash had its price set to 500 Robux on 21 August 2024 (previously 599). Public descriptions say the pass raises earnings and the amount of Cash you can hold. The October 2026 log does not restate the multiplier. Read the shop entry.

Gems that have a published use
- Creating an obby costs 60 Gems after your first three free manual creates (9 October 2026).
- The daily reward on day 20 rose from 8 Gems to 9 Gems on 9 October 2026. The daily reward screen was also changed to show future large rewards.
- Gems are an account value. They are not Obby IDs and they are not a promo code.
Older guides mention exchanging Gems for Cash in a shop. The 2026 log does not restate the exchange rate, so check the Cash shop in game rather than a saved ratio.

The old VIP subscription was discontinued on 21 August 2024. On 17 November 2024 a VIP PreMades pass replaced the monthly premade perk of that subscription. Do not buy a pass because an old guide calls it VIP and expect the 2024 subscription benefits.
More Space is a width expansion. On 9 October 2026 its extra width rose from 50 to 80, and the base plot size rose from 180 to 220. The 2026 log does not restate the Robux price.
Donations
Donations to a builder use Roblox's Transfer API as of 9 October 2026. The donation button on an obby toggles the donation frame. The Donations section that used to sit inside Global Properties was removed.
A Donation Part, added the same day, lets you choose the recipient and the amount. On 10 October 2026 those parts were changed to open the donation screen instead of prompting a purchase immediately, because the direct prompt was abused.
A spending order that matches the systems
- Spend the free first three obby slots and the trophy milestones before you buy part limit.
- Trial Advanced Tools for 15 minutes if you only need a lighting test.
- Buy a pass when the shop text matches the feature you are missing, at the price shown that day.
- Use a sponsored gate only when you want one server to see the course for an hour.
